Foods to Help Feed Your Skin and Get Rid of Acne

There are lots of talk about superfoods. Me? I think all foods are super, but seeing as I suffered from acne for many years the ones that I am interested in are the ones that will help my skin and undo the damage that my acne did. So I have looked into various foods that will help your skin be repaired and renewed and glow with health!

Get citrus-sy eg. lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruits.
Why? Well your skin needs vitamin C. Vitamin C is a antioxidant, but more than that it will help keep the collagen in your skin strong, which means it will look less wrinkly and stay plump.

Get green eg. kale, spinach, brocoli
Why? Well these greens will give your skin vitamin A. This will help your skin cell turnover, meaning that it will help prevent your skin becoming dry and scaly which can then block pores and cause spots, blackheads or acne.

Get fishing eg. sardines, salmon, mackerel
Why? Well they all contain omega-3s. Omega 3s help fight skin aging and will help to repair damaged skin cells, so your skin will glow with health. Aim for three portions a week.

So if you have acne or are suffering from dull, prematurely aged skin or just wish you had a youthful glow then look to your diet. It is a myth that a bad diet causes spots - it is the blocked pores that do this - but a bad diet can contribute to this and a healthy diet can help make sure that your pores stay unblocked and your skin repaired and renewed. You can always take supplements to get the above vitamins but I personally think it is always better to get them into your diet naturally - it has certainly helped my skin!

I am a former acne sufferer who now runs http://www.SovereignSkin.com helping thousands of people all over the world to cure their acne permanently and naturally.
